[SBB] Dippers spotted on Los Gatos Creek

Hi all -

A few yeas ago I was surprised to find AMERICAN
DIPPERS on Los Gatos Creek just up stream from the
Main Street Bridge. I posted my birds and was then
informed that these dippers were the first reported in
this area for decades. Other's also found them at
that time.

I go back looking for them on occasion and can usually
find them up stream from the Main Street Bridge. But
this spring I had gone three times to no avail. I was
dismayed and wondered if these aquatic passerines had
moved on. Then today during an email conversation
with H.T. Harvey's Ornithologist Scott Terril he added
-

"By the way, I saw your Dippers yesterday while
jogging along Los Gatos Creek at 0545 about 1/4 mile
upstream of the Main Street bridge."

I was so excited to hear the dippers are still handing
out in Los Gatos. And we can all believe Scott
because, well, he's an Ornithologist.

Thanks Scott for the good news!
