For what it's worth, the location was N 37 18.742, W 122 10.509 (WGS84). 
This is an elderberry that the Indigo Bunting used as a perch.  The bush was 
right next to Skyline on the ocean side half way from the OSP main entrance 
near Horsehoe Lake to the northernmost parking area; the topo map shows it 
to be solidly in San Mateo County (there is a bulge in the county line here 
that extends well to the bay side of Skyline).
