Catching up on my photos from the last couple of weeks. With the egret and heron rookery winding down for the season, if you aren't totally bored to tears by pictures of herons and egrets, here's the latest set:

For those of you that ARE bored to tears by herons and egrets, a nice surprise was a pair of American Coots that wandered out onto the duck pond with their chicks. I can't decide if Coot chicks are actually cute, or even uglier than mom and dad.... Maybe both...
