The Osprey was eating a fish while perched at the top of a Sycamore at
the front of the Santa Clara Valley Water District on Almaden Ex. this
afternoon. A Peregrine Falcon was near the back of the property and took
off while my back was turned. Four Wilson's Snipe, Fox Sparrow, Hermit
Thrush, Common Yellowthroat, Green Heron and assorted ducks were also
seen. A Merlin flew over Coleman Rd. as I drove home.
I added a new bird to my species list for Guadalupe Oak Grove Park this
weekend. Three Varied Thrush were seen from the wooded trail.
Am. Robins have depleted the berries in my neighborhood and have finally
moved on. What a mess they left behind.
