Without more resolution in the image, it could be a very gray
black-crowned night heron. I can't tell for sure if the eye is red.
The legs are light-colored - hard to say if they're yellow. The front
is a bit gray for a night heron - compare here:

** But I think it's more likely a great blue heron scrunched down.
