After work I decided to brave the nice weather and look for the
NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH at Charleston Rd Marsh. After an hour of
searching from the start of the Par course to the pumping station,
back and forth, I made one last sweep. At 5:15 p.m. in the Willow
thicket across from the start of the Par course I heard some fairly
loud chip notes. After a minute, or so, the NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH
revealed itself among the branches of the willows, bobbing its tail,
giving me a a nice but brief view. I enjoyed the irony of finally
sighting the bird when I was only about 30 feet from my car on my
last sweep of the area. This was also my forth attempt of the season
to try and find this bird.
