The BURROWING OWLS at Shoreline Park would be best photographed in morning
light -- at least when I saw them last evening, they were mostly grouped on
the east side of their nest-mound. But it was foggy yesterday morning and
again today, so here are a couple I took without benefit of good light.
Phil Terzian has shown us some beauties of the juveniles in excellent
light; this has one of the adults. (I counted nine birds visible; another
photographer who had been there before I arrived said he had seen at least
ten.)
