Two male LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCH were seen on the lawn near Almaden Lake
this morning about 10 am. They flew into a Chinese Pistache tree loaded
with Yellow rumped Warblers and Western Bluebirds. One f. Western
Tanager in the same tree flew off into a tall eucalyptus.
This flock flew from tree to tree in the grassy area near the parking
lot on the east side of the lake. Three Hermit Thrush, Cal. Thrasher,
Common Yellowthroat and at least 50 more YRWA were also seen. Five Cedar
Waxwings, and three Violet Green Swallows flew overhead.
