A few days ago, Garrett Lau posted (link below) about the raptor fest in
Half Moon Bay, including a redtail whose band numbers were readable from
his photos. After a little followup, it was possible to get more of the
band numbers and determine that the bird was banded in the Marin
Headlands on August 15, 2005. Garrett, I misplaced your email address
(sorry), but I have a little more info for you if you'll get back in
touch...
