Folks:
This morning, 10/6/07, I made a CW loop at the New Chicago Marsh,
going out the RR spur and returning on the south levee of Salt Pond
A16. I counted 3 LESSER YELLOWLEGS in the marsh and saw my first 2
DUNLIN of the season, both in basic plumage. One RED-NECKED
PHALAROPE remains. The pair of BLACK SKIMMERS continues on island #1
with two healthy looking fledged young. A BURROWING OWL was on the A16 levee.
Both coming and leaving, I saw one BURROWING OWL east of Disk Drive.
