[SBB] Pectoral Sandpipers, Golden Eagle at Alviso

There were three Pectoral Sandpipers on a small island
along the north side of the entrance road to the EEC
Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:20. They were quite
close to the road, offering great views in perfect
light much of the time. Occasionally, they nestled
into the vegetation and were more difficult to pick
up. I left when a harrier made a pass at 11:20 and
chased them a bit farther from the road, out of camera
range. (Pix to follow later.)

On the way out at 11:30, I saw a juvenile Golden Eagle
on the ground feeding on carrion with a Turkey Vulture
and couple of crows in the plowed field along Nortech Dr.,
southwest of the Jubilee Christian Center. When activities
at the church broke up a few minutes later, and the traffic
increased, the eagle flew off to the east, staying quite
low. I scoped the fields east of the Christian Center but
could not refind it.
