[SBB] Hermit Thrush, Bufflehead and both Scaup

All,

Yesterday I had my first-of-season HERMIT THRUSH on
Emerson Street in Palo Alto near my office. When I
parked my car this morning, the bird was calling again
from the same bushes it had the day before. Nice to
have it back!

Today during lunch I walked around Byxbee Park. Both
LESSER and GREATER SCAUP were in the channel leading
toward the dam. My first-of-season BUFFLEHEAD was
present too. Many GREEN-WINGED TEAL and NORTHERN
SHOVELERS were in the shallow water outside the dam. A
LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was perched on the wooden posts on
the hillside.
