[SBB] New Chicago Marsh, 10/4

I scoped the shorebirds from most of the available vantage points around the New Chicago Marsh this morning. Notables included a single PECTORAL SANDPIPER roosting just north of the road to the EEC and just east of the RR tracks, and a single RED-NECKED PHALAROPE actively foraging in the southeast corner. No Ruff.

Other birds of local interest in the last couple weeks:
9/26 - MacGillivray's Warbler in a neighbor's front yard (heard the chip note, then seen in flight; couldn't age/sex)
9/27 - Prairie Falcon over Calero Reservoir

Sweet birding,
 Brent Campos
