I stopped briefly in Alviso today, 5/19, from 10:20 to 10:45 am. I saw at
least three female and one immature male YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS; the
Blackbird flock was close to School Street and North First. The CATTLE
EGRET was still in the Arzino pasture, near the northeastern barn. I heard
one RING-NECKED PHEASANT also. The Yellow-headed Blackbird was my 225th
county species - I doff my cap to those of you over 300! I am having a
difficult time imagining 75 more species.
