While checking the field behind Jamboree Church for blackbirds and owls, three Cattle Egrets flew in about 20 feet from us, all adorned with buffy brown on heads and back. We managed to a find a Burrowing Owl in the same field, looking to the NNE. Although we spent some time observing the blackbird flock near N. 1st Street, we had no luck positively identifying any of the Yellow-headed variety.
After visiting the EEC, we spotted another Burrowing Owl sitting on the fence along Disk Drive.
