Hello Birders,
I need to recruit a few participants for the Palo Alto Summer/Breeding Bird
Count on June 2. No experience required! This is a great way for you to
learn more about our local birds.
During the summer bird count, in addition to taking the usual census, we
look for signs of breeding behavior such as nest building and feeding young
that will confirm which species of birds raise their babies right here.
I'm responsible for Region 6, which ranges from the Stanford foothills and
Arastradero Preserve to parts of Mountain View near El Monte Road. We need
5 parties of two to three people each. Please let me know if you will be
able to take part.
Special note: I will be visiting my parents on the East Coast from May 24
to May 31 and I'd like to get all details of this count squared away during
the first part of May. Beware my spam filter, which will likely trap your
message and send an auto-response asking you to resend it.
Hope to hear from you and good birding,
Nancy Teater
