Re: [SBB] Stevens Creek CP - NO ENTRY KEEP OUT

Hi all!
About a year or more ago, I found a squatters camp in the bushes that you
are describing which I reported to the rangers. I believe the owners of the
property next door had a problem with the squatters and installed the new
fence along their property line. The park then had the problem of cleaning
out the squatters. I believe this is the "legal enforcement" issue that the
park had. This would also account for removing much of the bushes along the
trail. I no longer live in the area (now in Gilroy), but it might be nice
to suggest to the rangers that they could simply prune the bushes up off the
ground so that there is better visibility in the areas where squatters are a
problem. Unfortunately, either way, the birds will suffer, but I understand
the need to control this problem.

P.S. Sorry for the delayed input, but I've just returned from vacation.

Hello Patty,

I wonder if the park has an environmental manager? I would hope so.
