Today I birded at Ed Levin with my mom. In the eucalyptus by the hang-
gliding parking lot we briefly saw a Selasphorus HUMMINGBIRD, and at
least 5 BULLOCK'S ORIOLES. Climbing the Agua Caliente trail behind
the dog run, we found a HOUSE WREN and later a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW,
both singing. Near the corral in the Spring Valley area, we saw a
family of WILD TURKEY with 14 poults! Then a nice bluebird-box
monitor let us look in two boxes he was checking; we saw a nest with
2 young WESTERN BLUEBIRDS and another with a female brooding 4 tiny
blue eggs!
