I went for a walk at Ogier Ponds today, 20 Jan 07. Noteably, I had an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER along the east side of the northernmost pond from the entrance road. A small group of gulls on the pond immediately north of the entrance road had 7 MEW GULLS. A few hundred AMERICAN ROBINS were feeding in the olive trees east of the ponds along the trail.
This morning, 21 Jan 07, I checked
out the Coyote Valley and found the FERRUGINOUS HAWK soaring over the fields west of Santa Teresa at Richmond. On the east side of the road a MERLIN was hunting sparrows in the weedy field.
