Hi Birders-
Around noon today the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was still in the row of tamarisks at Ed Levin Park. Late in the afternoon in Palo Alto I saw the two Snow Geese and five Greater White-fronted Geese, all on the golf course pond at the end of Geng Rd. A little further out on the course were eight Cackling Geese, two with faint white neck-rings. The near-permanent puddle in the parking lot attracted a Greater Yellowlegs, one lone Cedar Waxwing, and an American Goldfinch. No Cattle Egret at the duck pond. At the SW-ish corner of Shoreline Lake the were two pair of Barrow's Goldeneye.
Dave Weber,
Milpitas
