Hi Birders-
I stopped at Ed Levin Park this morning. After a few minutes I found the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker at 9:20 am. And right then a ranger drove up and began sawwing the fallen tamarisk branches into smaller pieces. The sapsucker has been there now for 58 days. A Hairy Woodpecker was in the area. Later in Alviso I started walking with Dean Manley and Mike Mammoser on the levee at the EEC. We had only gone a hundred yards or so when I decided I didn't have time. Walking back I spotted Eurasian Widgeon way, way out on the pond.

Milpitas
