[SBB] San Antonio Valley/Mines Rd.

Last Friday, a few of us birded San Antonio Valley/Mines Rd. entering
from Hwy. 5. Highlights were singing Lark Sparrow, Rufous-crowned
Sparrow, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, a sleeping Great Horned Owl, two
sightings of Golden Eagle, and of course, at least 4 Lewis' Woodpecker.
The pond just east of the Junction was very low on one side, and had
no water close by on the other. It was so dry that we had to wet
ourselves with root beer floats at the Junction, despite the cold weather.
