Three No. Rough winged Swallows were flying up and down the Guadalupe
River channel this afternoon.
Anyone wanting to see Varied Thrush should drive down Casa Loma Rd. off
McKean in the south county. They are the most numerous bird in the area.
Also check around the Open Space parking lot at the end of the road. I
found a White throated Sparrow near the trail gate yesterday at 11 am.
It's long, loud seep call got my attention. A few Dark eyed Juncos were
nearby but it seemed to stay by itself. It could very well be the same
bird I saw months ago half a mile away.
