[SBB] CCFS, New Chicago Marsh

This morning (25 August), a check of the riparian corridor along Coyote
Creek at CCFS, from the banding trailers downstream, produced few migrants:
2 Willow and 5 Pacific-slope Flycatchers, 2 House Wrens, 10 Yellow Warblers,
3 Western Tanagers, and 4 Black-headed Grosbeaks.

I saw nothing unusual at New Chicago Marsh. Least Sandpipers outnumbered
Western Sandpipers (about 700 to 400), most of the Westerns arriving near
high tide and roosting in the northwestern part of the marsh on either side
of the RR tracks. Approximately 75% of the Leasts were adults (mostly in,
or well on their way to, basic plumage), whereas only 5-10% of the Westerns
were adults. Yellowlegs numbered 16 Greaters and 7 Lessers.

We've had good numbers of Selasphorus hummingbirds at our feeders the past
few evenings, with possibly 30 or more individuals making appearances. All
are females/immatures (no adult males). Based on review of still images of
tails from the video, the vast majority appear to be Rufous, though one or
two Allen's (with very narrow outer rectrices) have been present as well.
Two Black-chinned Hummingbirds were among them the evenings of the 22nd and
23rd.
