Good evening all...
Today Kristine Long and I went to Sunnyvale Water Treatment Centre for the
Franklin's Gull....it was way to windy and we didn't find the gull amongst the
others. We did watch an adult Green Heron chase off a juvenile Green
Heron...
From there we went to the EEC and watched a Barn Swallow feeding her four
young in a nest. We also watched a CA Towhee feeding another CA Towhee...
No Barn Owl today, but the Skimmer's were on the first island chasing off the
gulls. Lots of Red-necked Phalaropes and one Wilson's.
At State and Spreckles we saw Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs in good
numbers....
We then went down to the Christian Jubilee church to look for the
Burrowing Owls of which we saw two. We watched a Cattle Egret close up, it
was great.
Wishing you all good birding and my best regards,
