Hi all:

"At about 11:30 a.m. I refound what may to be the same
Ross's Goose with a
flock of Canada Geese in nearly the same spot on the
hillside at Byxbee Park that
I saw it last Friday. Also with the flock were at
least seven smaller geese
which I think were Cackling Geese. However, I would
like to get another
opinion on both of these finds."
Canada geese were scattered throughout the fields of
Byxbee, the landfill, and the surrounding marsh. One
concentrated flock was just south of the wind-chime
sculpture. And in that flock was one Ross's Goose and
11 Cackling Geese. 9 looked to be minima, and 2
looked to be Aleutians (slightly larger than the dinky
minima, not as dark on upper breast, and the
distinctive white lower neck band.)
Good birding,
