Today, Monday, 9/25/06, there were two RUFFs seen from Spreckles St. in Alviso. They were sitting on a mud island almost due east of the rise in Spreckles road north of the intersection with State St. They were sitting for almost all of the time, and it was difficult to determine size differences between the two, if there was any, and I couldn't tell if either was the limpy bird.
Also present were 2 SNOWY PLOVERs, seen from the corner of State and Spreckles, on a mud island east of the road. RED-NECKED and WILSON'S PHALAROPEs were around. The overall number of birds is way down today from last week.
