Good morning all....
Got to the Parula hangout at 6:30AM this morning.....it showed up at in the
right tree at the right time and had fabulous looks at it. Thanks go to
Dean Manley and Jack Cole...This was number 264 on my county
list....Yippee....
From there I went to the ECC again......
No Ruff, very little shorebird activity....except for Black-necked Stilts,
Avocets, Western and Least Sandpipers and a handful of Dowitchers. Lots of
Yellowlegs.....Went up to the EEC...Barn Owls still in the box, Common
Yellowthroats galore today and a Yellow-rumped warbler in the trees. A
Black-crowned Night heron sitting in the tree also.
No, pelicans today....I then went down the railroad tracks and walked
it way out....Only bird of mention...a Sanderling, just one in the pond to the
left as I walk way out.....A Wilson's and two Red-necked Phalaropes were see
along with about 8-10 Vaux's Swifts.
Wishing you good birding......and my best regards,
Linda Sullivan
