All,
An adult Green-tailed Towhee was observed this morning, 17 September 06,
several times between 10am and 11am on the Arastradero Creek Trail in
Arastradero Preserve, Palo Alto. The very cooperative bird was seen by all
attendees of Rich Page's Audubon walk about one-half mile from Arastradero
Lake before the intersection with the Acorn Trail at the spot where bird box
4 is on the wooded down-hill side of the trail and red netting marked for a
protected plant, Bush Mallow, is on the other side of the trail. The bird
was seen on the trail, in coyote-brush on the uphill side of the trail, and
flying across between both sides of the trail.
