I birded along the Guadalupe River Trail at 1 pm today. I met Julie Bryson and her birding companion, but was in a hurry and continued on alone. I found Mike Mammosers Tennessee Warbler just south of the 85 freeway overpass before the pond. It was foraging in the fennel along the trail with two Orange crowned Warblers, so comparison was relatively easy. One Orange Crowned Warbler showed an orange crown. Also saw the two Lincoln's Sparrows near the granite rocks but not the Chipping Sparrow. The trail was very birdy again today. I returned at 3 pm as Julie was leaving and was happy to hear they found the Tennessee Warbler in the fennel.
