South Bay Birders,
This morning (23 Nov) I walked around the Vista Trail at Henry Coe SP,
reached from the east end of Dunne Ave. The pines lacked the montane birds
that appear some winters (and that I was hoping for), such as crossbills,
siskins, and Red-breasted Nuthatches. Eighteen Golden-crowned Kinglets and
a cismontanus-type Dark-eyed Junco were the most interesting birds there.
A group of 55 Wild Turkeys was the largest concentration I've seen in our
neighborhood.
