On this gorgeous Thanksgiving morning, Stevens Creek north of 101 was
delightfully birdy, even if I didn't see any warblers other than
Yellow-rumps. Photographers take note -- there is an extremely confiding
juvenile COOPER'S HAWK hanging around, north to the bridge. I got many good
pictures, will post after the family feast. Also got pix of the adult
female BELTED KINGFISHER, a juvenile GREEN HERON, and lots of foraging
Snowy Egrets.
I saw a FOX SPARROW, which looks possibly to be of the "RED" or Iliaca
type. I don't know how rare these are around here, or if this really is
one, but here's a picture for our aficionados to examine:

Happy Thanksgiving to all!
