[SBB] New Chicago Marsh, A16: Black Turnstone, Phalaropes, Snowy Plovers

This morning, 7/15/06, Pat Kenny and I headed out the railroad tracks from
the EEC entrance road. In the last pond to the south just before the
junction with the mainline we had 4 SNOWY PLOVERs (two singles seen later
along A16) and 4 RED-NECKED PHALAROPEs. We continued up the mainline tracks
towards Fremont and back along the A16 south levee towards the EEC. From
this levee, in the NW corner of New Chicago Marsh we had 4 WILSON'S
PHALAROPEs. Frank Vanslager and Bob Reiling caught up with us here, and we
soon (10:40am) flushed a BLACK TURNSTONE from the A16 levee. It flew over
the westernmost island in A16 and continued west out of sight.
