About 5:00 yesterday evening I saw a single Burrowing Owl on the same
mound along the road in Shoreline Park in Mountain View where there
were up to 10 owls last year. Perhaps this one was investigating the
mound prior to moving the rest of the family over? (Last year they
moved in on August 5.)
