We missed the REDSTART at the Coyote Creek golf course
after walking the bike path north of the Sycamore rest
stop for about 1.5 hours. Our patience was rewarded,
however, because just as we were leaving to return
home, we spotted a bobcat in the brush on the east
side of the bike path directly across from the rest
stop. We quietly followed her northward to the bay
tree, where she casually walked across the path within
15m of us, ignoring us completely. We watched her for
about four-five minutes as she sauntered back and
forth across the path many times, working her way
northward, and in full view the entire time. We didn't
mind at all that we missed the REDSTART.
