The "No Parking" signs on Alamitos Road mean both sides of the road.
I posted the cautionary notes in my original post on the location of the
Red-naped Sapsucker because I myself have been "caught" a couple
of times in the past. I've never gotten a ticket, but I have gotten a
warning, so I thought it was important to pass this information on to all of
you.
While the road is not checked very often, it is checked from time to
time. I think the reason for the "no parking" signs could be because of
all the blind curves on the road, and pulling out from one of these seemingly
convenient pull-off spaces could present a hazard.
