Yesterday, I ran into Dean Manley at the Radio Rd.
pond. We both were there to look for Ron Thorn's Swamp
Sparrow -- which we both eventualy saw. It is up on
the dike to the south, all the way back in the reeds
relatively near the final chain link fence. We got a
fairly brief look at it, then I had to leave, Dean
stayed and got better looks at it. There was also a
male Common Yellowthroat.
In the pond itself, I noted Forster's Terns (6) --
first time this year for me (but I have not been there
for awhile), 4 male Cinnamon Teal and 3 male
Blue-winged Teal.
Good birding,
Kris Olson
