[SBB] Coyote Ridge on Morgan Hill CBC

Rick Herder and I covered the Kirby Canyon Landfill and VTA's Coyote Ridge
property on the Calero-Morgan Hill CBC today (30 Dec). Highlights include:

5 Cackling Geese (north end of Anderson Reservoir)
1 ad. Bald Eagle (north end of Anderson Reservoir)
8 Wood Ducks (north end of Anderson Reservoir)
1 adult Ferruginous Hawk
1 Prairie Falcon
3 Burrowing Owls
7 Tree Swallows
4 Grasshopper Sparrows

and good numbers of grassland birds (e.g., 13 Say's Phoebes, 170 Horned
Larks, 33 Rock Wrens, and 29 Rufous-crowned Sparrows).

After leaving Coyote Ridge, I had 3 flyover Hooded Mergansers along Coyote
Creek north of the Coyote Creek Golf Club entrance road, and along the paved
path on the east side of the creek about 1/4-mile north of the golf course
entrance road, I had 2 "Slate-colored" Juncos (1 nice-looking adult male
hyemalis-type and a cismontanus-type) with 4 "Oregon" Juncos.
