On Tuesday, 8/29, I saw a single BAIRD'S SANDPIPER in the waterbird pond in Alviso, near the EEC. I was looking from Spreckles St., where the road rises up a bit just before you get to the business at the end of Spreckles.
Today, 8/30, there were no unusual sandpipers around but I did have a single MARBLED GODWIT in the same pond.
I then walked around the butterfly garden near the nature center building and found it to be very birdy. There were a few warbler groups moving around. I had COMMON YELLOWTHROATS, YELLOW WARBLERS, a single WILSON'S WARBLER, and a single WARBLING VIREO. There was also a BARN OWL camped out in its box.
