Birders,
Preceding Dave Weber at EEC by a couple hours, there were four warbler species in the trees by the center: yellowthroat, yellow, orange-crowned and Townsend's. 8-10 Vaux's swifts were overhead.
A pectoral sandpiper was along the entrance road (right where it was Sunday afternoon, Dean). Look for it across from the two lesser yellowlegs in the channel on the north side, or if they have flown, the 2x2 piece of plywood will still be there.
Previously, one red-necked phalarope was at State and Spreckles.
I left EEC and did a "Big Stand" at the euc near the CCFS trailer. In and around the tree there were 2-3 western tanagers, 2 hooded orioles, one Bullock's oriole, 3-4 pacific-slope flycatchers, one willow flycatcher and one warbling vireo, in addition to more common species.
