After seeing the BAIRD'S SANDPIPER in Gilroy on
Thursday, 24 Aug 06, (thanks for the call Bob) I took
a little walk along Alamitos Creek north of Blossom
Hill Road. An OSPREY was circling over the pond near
where the creek goes under hwy 85. I had 2 GREEN
HERONS flush from the creek near Blossom Hill. The
only migrants I found were a WARBLING VIREO and a
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK.
On Friday, 25 Aug 06, I had 2 VAUX'S SWIFTS flying
over the EEC building in Alviso.
