All,
Over lunch today 8/24/06, I made a quick check for shorebirds in Alviso.
Scoping from the corner of State and Spreckles failed to turn up much,
but I did find 3 juvenile BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS from the boardwalk below
the EEC (Environmental Education Center of the Don Edwards National
Wildlife Refuge). There was also a juvenile LESSER YELLOWLEGS here and
four more (3 juveniles and 1 adult) along the entrance road. Along the
entrance road near the parking lot were a WILLOW FLYCATCHER and a DOWNY
WOODPECKER.
