[SBB] Stevens Creek north of Highway 101

All,

On the way into work this morning 9/23/05, I made another check of Stevens Creek north of Highway 101. Migrants were present in fair numbers, including all the expected sparrows and the first RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET and HERMIT THRUSH I have seen this fall. The variety of warblers and vireos was very low, although the numbers were decent. :(

Totals included:
6+ WESTERN FLYCATCHERS (3 being PACIFIC-SLOPE by call)
1 BARN SWALLOW
1 OAK TITMOUSE (now breeds in the Moffett housing area)
1 HOUSE WREN (just north of Crittenden Lane bridge)
1 RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET
1 HERMIT THRUSH
27+ YELLOW WARBLERS
5 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (all seen well being AUDUBON'S)
9 COMMON YELLOWTHROATS
3 SAVANNAH SPARROWS (including one all the way up at L'Avenida)
1 FOX SPARROW
11 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS
13+ GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS
15+ WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS

Also, a pair of adult PEREGRINE FALCONS was courting north of the Crittenden Lane bridge.
