[SBB] Milpitas & Alum Rock Park

Hi all,

Nothing earth-shaking, but I thought I'd let people know what is being seen. Sunday, Janet and I birded our backyard while having coffee on the patio. Besides the "regulars", a Yellow Warbler was spotted while it foraged in our "shade" maple. Later, an overdue backyard first was a Pacific-slope Flycatcher. A somewhat rare for our backyard, Black Phoebe made an appearance, for a two flycatcher day!!

Monday morning while walking Penitencia Creek trail at Alum Rock Park, we had at least one and maybe two Lincoln's Sparrows in the area of the Rustic Lands Picnic area. A Hutton's Vireo was seen about 80 yards downstream of the Log Cabin. Other than that, it was pretty slow. Belted Kingfisher and Downy Woodpecker were also seen on the walk.
