SBBers,
This morning I hiked up to the sycamore grove above the dog park at Ed Levin Regional Park.
It was amazing seeing the number of Wild Turkeys strutting and strolling over the hills around the park from that elevation.
At the grove, I hiked up the draw to the last sycamore. There were 5-6 Rufous-crowned Sparrows, a Bullock's Oriole, a Rufous/Allen's Hummingbird and heard first, then seen, a Great Horned Owl roosting in one of the sycamore trees.
I didn't hear or see any Grasshopper Sparrows. (Bingo {target} birds were Rufous-crowned Sparrows and Grasshopper Sparrows! 50% is okay on a nice day.)
BTW, the trail wasn't too muddy until right at the grove.
