All,

This morning Frank Vanslager and I had an AMERICAN DIPPER in Stevens Creek
above the fourth bridge from Mt. Eden Rd. Later in Sanborn County Park below
Lake Ranch Reservoir we had a WINTER WREN and several VARIED THRUSH. Other
birds seen included HERMIT THRUSH, PURPLE FINCH, CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEE,
DARK-EYED JUNCO, NUTTALL'S WOODPECKER, STELLER'S JAY, RED-TAILED HAWK,
DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS (one showing the double crests), RING-NECKED DUCK,
BUFFLEHEAD and MALLARD. We also had a singing YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, calling
HUTTON'S VIREOS (lots) and a calling NORTHERN FLICKER that had us going for a while.

Take care,
Bob Reiling
