[SBB] Today's Birding

Good evening all......
 
Let's start with last night...(sorry)...at Rinconada Hills flying overhead  
were 6 Vaux's and 2 White-throated Swifts.  At the lake....a pair of Green  
Herons and a juvie Black-crowned Night Herons.  Loads of Junco's....22 at  my 
feeders and 72+ on a short walk around the lake.
Yesterday, a Cooper's Hawk chased a Mourning Dove into my window and then  
caught the dove as it fell....He then flew into the pine and had  lunch.....
 
Today's birding.....Vasona....Great Blue Heron Rookery still has 5 chicks  in 
nests with 20 out of the nest.  Watched a Coot feed two adorable  chicks.  
Had an Osprey overhead.....Lot's of Brown-headed Cowbirds (at  least a dozen)...
 
Bill Bousman....had two Cackling Geese today at Vasona....(Bill Bousman  
didn't have the two Cackling Geese...this info is for Mr. B)..
 
Onto Okaponds and the Campbell ponds....Okaponds is loaded with Cliff  
Swallows.  A single Green Heron was spotted.
 
At the Campbell ponds....an Osprey overhead (could be the same one from  
Vasona)  Had 6 Snowy Egret in the tree on the little (and getting smaller)  
island...Maybe roosting there...some standing on nests other in standing in the  
tree.
