This morning at the Lockheed Martin Marsh we had one LESSER YELLOWLEGS with
a half dozen GREATER YELLOWLEGS. We also had a couple dozen SEMIPALMATED
PLOVERS. (One adult SEPL was apparently molting feathers in the area of the
black chest band as there was a wide white gap in the middle of the band. All
other markings were of a breeding plumaged adult). There were 200 to 250
Dowitchers (most, if not all, LONG-BILLED) in the North Pond of the Palo Alto
Flood Control Basin. A single mostly breeding plumaged female RED-NECKED
PHALAROPE looked lonely there.
