Just a few birds to report from Thurs, Dec 8.
A total of 45 WOOD DUCKS was counted at both the upper and lower ends of
the reservoir.
A pair of HOODED MERGANSERS was present on the reservoir. This pair
was also seen on Mon, Dec 5 by Peggy Don and myself.
13 WILSON'S SNIPE were on the upper end mudflats.
Also of interest was a pair of calling COMMON RAVENS seen at the
intersection of Hicks and Alamitos Roads. The pair then took off heading
upstream along Herbert Creek toward Twin Creeks, and presumably into the Santa
Cruz Mountains. This is the first time I've seen CORA in this particular
locale.
