Some visiting birders tell me they just saw a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper in New
Chicago Marsh. It' s visible from the east end of the County Marina parking
lot, in a mixed flock of Westerns, Leasts and Dunlin.
Also I had a Belted Kingfisher on the power lines by the Gold Street Bridge
a few days ago. A rare but welcome sight.
